Well, as 2014 rolls around, I’m getting ready for my fourth year on road, the completion of my final set of log books, and preparing for my Viva. I’m now at Supervised Paramedic (SPARA) level and walking that fine line between cautious student and confident Paramedic. Myself and my fellow SPARA’s literally have the weight of the world on our shoulders at present. The pressure to perform well in the Viva at all levels is immense and can not be understated. I’m shitting myself. It’s a necessary step in our careers but it’s a fu@king huge one and it scares the crap out of me. Maybe I’ll just get drunk and wing it.
