A neigbour down the road had a lawnmower on his nature strip with a handwritten sign on it that said “FREE!”. Obviously he was giving it away, but it made me think about the other possibilities.
Maybe it was the lawnmower who wrote the sign:
Perhaps he spent years in an abusive ralationship and had finally got the courage to leave;
perhaps, after years of indentured labour, he’s shaken off the shackles of servitude and has broken free;
maybe he’s a consulting lawnmower and has some time up his sleeve;
or maybe even a “rent-mo” who’s advertising his availabilty…
